being to class on time.
Although we no longer get counted tardy for arriving to class on time, it is still important to arrive to class on time. This is important because some professors give out very important information in the first few minutes of class. Also, sometimes professors give out quizzes in the first few minutes of class. It is also important because it gives the professor an impression of what kind of person you are. It also gets you in the habit of being to not only class, but other timely events, on time.

At my Best..
There have been many times in my life that has proven to be good times. Times like having learned something new and exciting or being the center of attention for a bit. These times have been great, but the time in my life when I have been at my best occurred when many times like this happened consecutively: my junior year of high school.
My junior year was filled with many athletic accomplishments. It was my third year in a row of being Atlantic’s top female distance runner. I felt like I could run forever. I was in the best shape of my life, and I had the best toned muscles ever! I never ran worse than eighth place at a cross-country meet, except for the state meet where I was seventeenth. The spring was also a great time for running. I set my personal record in all three events I ran (the mile, two mile, and half mile). I was one, one hundredth of a second from being on the chart for the top five fastest girls in our school’s history. I was so confident, and in the best physical shape of my life thus far.
Another great thing that happened my junior year was my involvement in the marching band. I had been in marching band my freshman and sophomore year also. It was my junior year, however, that we did really well, and I was better friends with the members of the band in my section. Together on the band trips we had so much fun goofing around. Our hard work in the band was rewarded at the end of the school year, and the entire band got to take a weeklong trip to Florida. While we were in Florida, we marched with the DisneyWorld parade. It was so much fun.
It was also my junior year that I really found my friends. Before I found my friends, I had been friends with some girls who were not very nice. The friends I found were active in cross-country and track as well. It was the fact that they liked to have fun the right way that really drew me to them. I know we will be friends for a long time.
It is because of these reasons my junior year was the best time of my life. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities I had to figure out who I am and what I am all about during this time. My confidence was boosted, I was in great shape, I was excited about marching band, and I had great friends. It was a great year.
